What we collect
When you create an account we store your email address (private, never shown on the site) and the username, role and profile details you choose to add. When you write a review we store the ratings, the text, your buyer/seller role and the deal context you enter. When you request an introduction we store your name, email, your quiz answers and the note you write. If you log deal interactions on your account page, those are stored and visible only to you.
What is public
Your username, profile blurb, labels, badges, reviews and (if you keep it public) your ranked list are visible to anyone. Your email, deal log and private notes are not. Brokers never see who wrote a review beyond the username.
Introductions
If you ask us to introduce you to a broker, we send your name, email and note to the brokers you selected, and only those brokers. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences such as whether you have seen the welcome message. No advertising cookies.
Your rights
You can edit or delete your reviews and profile from your account page. To delete your account entirely, or to ask what we hold about you, email hello@ratemybusinessbroker.com.
Where data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication) and served via Netlify, both in the United States.
